Gay man straight woman marriage

This post discusses straight women married to gay men—from the wife's perspective. The broader term is mixed-orientation relationship, sometimes shortened to MOR or MORE (while mixed-orientation marriage is sometimes shortened as MOM). I was proud of the fact that I got through it, all the while hoping she didn't notice how uncomfortable I felt. The answer is a bit more complicated than a simple yes or no.     A gay and a straight person trying to maintain a marriage seems like quite an ordeal to put yourself through. I wanted to believe it wasn't there and denied it vehemently when she brought it up. In those rare times we had sex, it was more like building a fence than building a relationship. It wasn't too long into the marriage before we both began to sense something was wrong. There was an invisible wall that separated us emotionally.

    I had gone through an ex-gay ministry, the most famous one in the country in fact, and was working for them when we got married. He's gay and she's a straight but they love each other and got married. BI checked in with them 18 months.
